About Us
History
The Research and Educational Center «Supercomputer Engineering Modeling and Software Development» (NOC «SIMPLEX») was established in June 2012 on the basis of the Department of Computational Mathematics and Mathematical Physics (FN‑11) at the Bauman Moscow State Technical University (BMSTU). It is part of the Research and Educational Complex «Fundamental Sciences» at BMSTU.
Main Objectives and Areas of Focus
The center’s key objectives are to develop multiscale modeling technologies and to create domestic CAE‑class software for multiscale modeling (at micro, meso, and macro levels) of composite materials, composite structures, and their manufacturing technologies—using high‑performance and distributed computing systems. The center actively works to implement its proprietary solutions across various sectors of Russian industry.
Team of Specialists
The NOC «SIMPLEX» team comprises faculty members, researchers, postgraduate students, and undergraduates from the specialized Department FN‑11. This composition ensures a high level of expertise in modeling and the development of high‑performance software.
Areas of Development
The NOC «SIMPLEX» team is committed to continuous development and the adoption of new technologies, maintaining a high standard of research and educational activities in the fields of supercomputer modeling and the development of engineering and educational software.
